Become an OAFM member.
We’re always looking for more professionals like you—Family Mediators ready to organize around the highest Standards of Practice in Ontario. Associate Membership is an opportunity to participate in a province-wide voice that upholds the value and professionalism of Family Mediation for both practitioners and clients.
As an Associate Member, you benefit from a variety of opportunities including the ability to earn accreditation — the AccFM (OAFM) designation.
We invite you to join our community and gain access to our online Family Mediation Network, annual conference and professional development workshops. Our goal is to keep our community connected and informed. Additional benefits include discounted rates from preferred vendors for professional liability and personal insurance, and discounted cloud-based merchant services.
Members who earn the AccFM (OAFM) designation are featured on our public directory so that people in need of a Family Mediator can find and obtain their services. Accredited Members are required to adhere to the Standards of Practice, maintain a minimum of a million dollars of Errors and Omissions (E&O) Insurance covering Family Mediation and complete 10 hours of Continued Professional Development, including 5 hours on screening for Domestic Violence.
